Although we realize that a 6-week old infant does not "do" very much, we also happen to think that many moments of our baby's life are adorable and worth capturing. Therefore, we proudly present Luke reciting the alphabet...or just sitting in his seat watching his crazy parents coo at him.

Due Date!
Yesterday (May 26) was Luke's original due date, and we took a picnic downtown to celebrate Memorial Day. All 4 of us were decked out in our red, white, and blue, and had a great time spending the day outside and enjoying the beautiful South Carolina weather. How different the day (and past 5 weeks) would have been if we had been in the hospital for Luke's delivery!

Our little Demon Deacon

We have started Luke's love of Wake Forest early, and are currently teaching him the WFU fight song and rosters for the 2008-2009 football and basketball teams. Here he is posing in his adorable Demon Deacon shirt. Thanks to KJ and Mike for such a perfect gift!

Happy Birthday Luke!

Our baby is 1 month old today! We took Luke to the pediatrician today to be weighed, and he is already 9 lbs, 10 ounces! It's hard to believe that his original due date is not even for another 6 days. He would have been a HUGE baby if he had waited until next week to arrive! We feel like so much has happened in one month, and we are constantly amazed at the joy that Luke brings to our hearts every day. Happy birthday to our sweet boy!

Meeting Aunt Jamie
Luke's Aunt Jamie flew from Miami to visit us this week, and we have really enjoyed having her here. As new parents, we are so appreciative that our family has given us the opportunity to run errands, take naps, and have help with our baby when they visit. Thank you, Jamie, for being so helpful to our family! Here are some pictures of her visit and Luke's 4th week. We still can't believe that 4 weeks ago today, our little boy was born. He is growing and changing every day!

Grams and Poppy Visit!
We had a wonderful visit from Luke's Grams and Poppy Winterhoff this week. I was so thankful to have help at home while Mark returned back to work full time, and Luke loved spending time with his grandparents. We were all spoiled by the loving care and attention we received this week. Grams and Poppy: We miss you- Come back soon!

Luke comes home!
We welcomed our sweet baby home on April 28, 2008! We spent Luke's second week acquainting Winnie to her little brother, learning our new routine (or lack thereof) and having lots of "firsts", including first bath at home, pediatrician appointments, visits with friends, and family walks. Here are pictures from Week 2:
