Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken in November, and these were long overdue.  It's been three years since our last professional photo session, and in those pictures, Leah isn't even tall enough to reach Mark's waist when standing!  We were fortunate to schedule a mini session with the photographer that we've used in the past, and once again, he did an amazing job capturing the personalities of each member of our family:

100 Book Challenge

In December, Peanut was honored at her school for completing the 100 Book Challenge.  Students  earn their hand print on the wall for reading 100 books during the school year and are celebrated in a special ceremony.  This is one of my favorite ORES traditions, and the halls of the school are lined with past students' hand prints (some of whom are parents themselves now!).

I remember watching Luke during his hand print ceremony several years ago, and still know exactly where his hand print is on the wall:

Leah's 100 Book Challenge celebration was especially fun as she was one of six students in the entire school to complete the challenge by the first deadline this year (it's amazing that these kids read 100 books since school started in late August)!  Two of her best friends were also recognized, and these three bookworms were very proud of their accomplishment:

I'm actually in charge of the program this year as part of my role on the PTO Executive Board, so I had the privilege of placing Leah's hand print on the wall with her.  Thank you to my mom friends for taking these special pictures, which we treasure:

Congratulations, Leah!  May your love of reading bring you lifelong joy and many wonderful adventures!
