Most of August consists of band camp/activities for our family, but that deserves its own post. During the rare times that we were not doing all the band things, we enjoyed some of these highlights:
First Wake Forest football game of the season:
Luke was working, so he couldn't join us, but we upgraded to the Touchdown Club (with drinks, unlimited food, and premium seating) and had a great day watching our Deacs!
Maya played in an exhibition tournament at Wake Forest and we cheered on our favorite volleyball player:
Watching football games on the porch = a rare Saturday treat before marching competition season begins:

Luke and I went shopping one day and he cracked me up asking for his photo to be taken with Geoffrey:

In August, Luke also was awarded a new tuba at the John Coltrane International Jazz & Blues Festival. He was chosen as a student instrument essay contest winner and was recognized on stage at the jazz festival. This was a very special honor and we are so proud of him!
That's a wrap on August!
