A Day in the Life of Luke- A Video Diary

Hi everyone- It's Luke! I know you all must be wondering how Mommy and I spend our days, so I came up with the great idea of posting a video blog to show you some of my daily activities. Hope you enjoy it!

I start my day with a little morning exercise. Right now, I'm really into kickboxing while lying on my back. I've heard some comments that I am a little chunky, so I'm working on toning and firming, while burning those calories!

We miss Daddy while he is at work, so sometimes Mommy calls him so I can say hi. Whenever I hear his voice, I get very excited and smile!

I love music time in the afternoons. Here I am, singing along loudly to one of my favorite songs!

Like every guy, I need my firegazing time at the end of the day... my relaxing, downtime, just for me. Since my mom won't let me watch tv, I enjoy rocking gently in my swing, staring at my bear.

Many friends!

Luke attended his first BB weekend with Mommy's college friends recently.  He has the honor of being the first BB baby and it was one of the only times a boy has been allowed to crash a BB reunion!

Mommy's friend, Nicole, came to visit last week while Daddy was out of town for work.  Thank you for all of your help, Miss Nicole.  We miss you!

Baby Anna (who is 10 months old) came to visit, too.  Look at Luke's size compared to her!

The Kids are 4!

As Luke turns 4-months old this week, we also celebrate his sister, Winnie's 4th birthday! Both of our kids provide us with so much joy on a daily basis and fill our hearts with love. To honor our children's special days, we would like to present Winterhoff Family Trivia. You can guess which "child" is the answer to each of the following questions: the 4-year old puppy or the 4-month old baby. Some of the answers may surprise you, and are posted below.

1) Which Winterhoff child still sleeps with Mommy and Daddy?
2) Which of our kids has a drooling problem?
3) Who has "outfits" for every major holiday- the dog or the baby?
4) Which child has the later bedtime?
5) Who has more toys?

Answers:
1) Surprisingly, it is Winnie, the 4-year old, who still sleeps in our bed. Baby Luke has moved to the crib in his room in the past 2 weeks and no longer sleeps in the same room as his parents (a major accomplishment for Mommy!).

2) Both Winnie and Luke have huge issues with slobber and drool. Lovely...

3) Again, the answer is both Winnie and Luke. Winnie has coordinating collars and scarves for every major holiday as well as some seasonal attire. Luke's collection of holiday outfits is also steadily growing, thanks to his Mimi.

4) The 4-month old, Luke, has the "later bedtime." He is definitely the party animal of the family, still waking up at least twice every night to hang out with his mom. Winnie, on the other hand, "puts herself to bed" around 8 p.m. every night and warms up our pillows for us.

5) Both children have big toy collections, thanks to their family and friends. Winnie even received some "Big Sister Gifts" when her baby brother, Luke, was born, so that she would feel special. Now the challenge is to help our 4-year old dog understand that every ball, stuffed animal, and squeaky toy in the house is not hers. Sharing is hard to learn!

Future Olympian?

In the spirit of celebrating the Olympic Games, we proudly present Luke David Winterhoff, future athlete (we're not sure what sport) for Team USA! Luke is wearing his adorable Nike outfit from the Hunters, which includes his very own Baby Nikes. We're anxiously awaiting the call from Nike offering to sponsor Luke as their new poster child. How could they resist such cuteness?!

Harrisburg Visit

Luke, Winnie, and I spent last week in Pennsylvania with my family while Mark traveled for work. Luke loved spending time with his Grandpa and Mimi, and I was thrilled to have company during the days. Luke's big accomplishment of the week was learning how to hold his head up during tummy time (Thanks to Mimi for encouraging this!). Our big boy is growing up so fast- What an important milestone to achieve!

Ladies' Man

In the past week, we've received an overwhelming response to Luke's personal ad (see previous post titled "Hey Ladies"). Apparently, girls find a short, chubby, little man in diapers irresistible! Some admirers have traveled from near and far to court our most eligible bachelor in person. Here are pictures of several of his "dates". Our little Ladies' Man has been quite busy, but he has hinted that his heart belongs to a sweet, Midwestern girl with the initials K.D.!
