It's Monster Truck Mania here once again with the arrival of Monster Truck Jam in Greenville! What in the world could be more exciting for a 4 year-old boy? Although we don't buy tickets or attend the show, we take full advantage of the free Meet-and-Greets when the Monster Trucks arrive in town each year. In fact, we spent a good part of Thursday afternoon driving to various locations to see several of the featured trucks for this year's show, and were all pretty excited that "Superman" is a headliner this time. What a perfect fit for our super hero-crazed boy! Luke gasped when he first saw the Superman Monster Truck and reported with awe: "Mommy, it is even is wearing a red cape!"
We met the Monster Truck drivers, received autographed postcards of each vehicle, and even sweet, girly Leah loved all of the excitement. She insisted on having her picture taken with Grave Digger ("All by self, Mama!") and was a real trouper (which I will be sure to point out to Luke when we visit Disney Princesses in a few years!):
As usual, Luke was full of educational tidbits about the Monster Trucks, pointing out pistons and gaskets to his mechanically-challenged mother, and explaining how each vehicle operates:
Visiting the Monster Trucks was a great way to spend an afternoon, and it certainly made one little boy's day very special!

God KNEW what a good Mom you'd be for a little boy! What fun! Love, Bean
Glad to see Luke's got his VA-ROOM on! We boys love our toys and big machines. Love, Grandpa
I'll bet we'll be joining you in 2 years...if not before!
