A few Easter notes from this year:
Luckily, the Easter Bunny is flexible and he (and the Easter baskets!) found the way to our apartment. He loaded up the children's baskets with lots of good stuff and wrote a note to Luke, who has been creating messages and pictures for E.B. for weeks:
Luke woke up first this morning. It also happened to be his birthday, so the day was extra special for our brand new six year old. He looked through the contents of his basket and proclaimed that the Easter Bunny did a great job knowing exactly what he liked:
Leah woke up shortly afterward, and had a very enthusiastic, excited response for each and every item in her basket:

Because Mimi is visiting, the kids also had piles of color coordinated, wrapped Easter presents to open (and you wonder where I inherited my love of holidays!):
L&L also had a fun egg hunt at our apartment and oohed and ahhed over the coins and chocolates in their eggs:
Winnie gave us her best puppy dog face, so we filled some eggs with kibbles and did a canine version of an egg hunt for our furry girl, too!
Next it was time for pictures at the gardens before church. When I bought the children's Easter outfits, I didn't know how Luke would react to the pink, so we've been calling it "salmon" (which seems so much more manly, right?!). Thankfully, he was so excited to wear a tie for the first time that he didn't mind, and in fact, didn't want to take off his dress shirt for most of the afternoon:

My favorite Easter outtake:
Our afternoon was filled with celebrating our birthday boy, and was completed with dinner out, followed by birthday cake. It was a wonderful Easter with our family!

What a momentous day...Easter AND a sixth birthday! It's clear that it doesn't matter WHERE you celebrate special occasions as long as you're together and the "event planner par excellence" is in charge! The family pictures are GREAT...a 6 year old certainly deserves a tie! Love, Bean
What wonderful day for all of you. Great picture of the 3 ladies too.
Carrie-all your planning for the outfits certainly paid off-everyone looked FAB!!!! What a wonderful Easter you shared. Just think-next year you will be in your new home for Easter! YEAH! Love, Gammie Davies
The kids looked fantastic! Love the "salmon" shirt!
