Luke turned 11 on the day before Easter this year, and was lucky to have his birthday fall on the first Saturday of Spring Break AND the day of our church Easter Egg Hunt! We actually began celebrating the birthday boy the weekend before, during Bean and Poppy's visit, and Luke was delighted to open presents and have ice cream cake a little early!
Per tradition, the kids open one present right away on the morning of their birthday. Luke chose the biggest gift (of course!), which was a set of Guitars for the Wii and a Guitar Hero game:

We had chocolate croissants for breakfast, put on festive attire, and headed to the Easter Egg hunt, where L&L played games, collected lots of goodies, and had pizza with their friends:
In the afternoon, we had our family party for Luke. Mimi and Gawa were visiting for Easter, and it was fun to have them be a part of Luke's special day!

Luke chose to go to the Village Tavern for his birthday dinner, and we had ice cream sundaes afterward:
