Our stop on Friday was in Nafplio, which is thought to be one of the most beautiful towns in the Peloponnese area of Greece. According to Greek mythology, this coastal town was founded by Nafpilos, the son of Poseidon and the daughter of Danaus. The town's history dates back to antiquity, and it was an important seaport in the Middle Ages and played a role in the Trojan War. Unfortunately, I had a 102 fever on this day, and spent the day sleeping/recovering in our stateroom on the ship. We didn't have any structured tours or activities planned for this day, and the kids requested a relaxing day of soaking in the culture and going to the beach:
Leah wanted to try paddleboarding and had a blast with this adventure while the boys hung out on the beach:
It's not every day that you get to try a water sport with the Peloponnesian Mountains as your backdrop!
This ended up being a day of swimming and fun for the kids and Mark, and luckily, I was feeling better the next day!
