September/October 2025

Here are some of our favorite fall things this year:

We attended another Wake Forest football game and lucked out again by having Touchdown Club tickets. When you have indoor seating and unlimited food/drinks, you don't mind an unexpected weather delay!

Watching Maya's volleyball game during the rain delay.

The PTA sponsored Senior Sunrise, and one of the perks about being an officer is that I am able to be a part of all these special milestones with my senior:

NWHS Class of 2026

The celebrations continued as our dear pink sister, Victoria, completed her last chemo treatment:

Posing with our oncologist, Dr. Gudena (center):
He saved all 3 of our lives!

Pink in the Park is a special annual event that kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Adding new names to the ribbon wall each year is emotional, but these women are truly mighty:

SURVIVORS!

We also celebrated having the largest team in this year’s All Mounds Matter 5K, with more than 100 people representing Team Victoria:

Pink Hall of Fame Tribe:
"You can go the distance, you can run a mile,
You can walk straight through hell with a smile..."

Mark was 2nd place medalist for his age group!

Cheering on and acknowledging our team:

$50,000 raised for Cancer Services!

We had quite a bit of tree excitement at home, beginning with having to cut down a dying gum tree in our backyard that was over 100 years old:

Completely unrelated, we had 2 huge limbs break on our pecan tree a few weeks later:

Never a dull moment adulting!

Fall is also "porch season". Here's a sweet photo of our #1 Dad snuggling with his favorite fluffy child:

I also had a fun night out in Durham with friends to attend Everything Happens Live. I always look forward to seeing Kate Bowler whenever I can, and this evening was especially lovely.

Bean and Poppy came for a weekend to watch the kids perform at a football game and competition. On Saturday afternoon, we drove to Boone to watch Maya's match. What fun it was to have this family time with everyone!

Pigmania is a special tradition for these two.

The days of trick or treating are over for our house, but Millie still donned a costume for Halloween and was the cutest little pumpkin:

It's been a gorgeous, glorious fall, and we savored every beautiful September/October day!
