We had a cute family birthday party for Leah on Friday night to celebrate her turning 2. After spending a fun morning with Mommy at the Children's Museum and taking a good nap in the afternoon, our birthday girl was ready for her pink-ladybug themed party:
Leah opened most of her presents "by self", but nicely asked Luke for help when she got stuck:
Leah especially loved her cards this year, and squealed with delight when she found "cash money" in some of the envelopes. Bubba thoughtfully volunteered to keep his little sister's money safe (so that he could buy her a toy, he explained), but Mommy advised Leah to keep her birthday loot all to herself!
Leah showed off all of her presents to us, and was delighted with each one:
Next we had dinner and cake, and this pink ladybug was baked with love by Mommy:

We sang "Happy Birthday" to our special girl, and she blew out her candle like a pro:
The most exciting parts of the cake (for both kids) were the antennae lollipops, which were devoured before anything else:
Our party girl loved being the center of attention on her special day, and we loved celebrating with her:
Happy Birthday, Leah Ladybug!

I LOVE seeing Leah basking in the joy of being the center of attention. She surely has Mark's genes with her delight in "cash money"! Blessings on you, sweet ladybug! Love, Bean
