Odds and Ends

 

January always seem to be full of little odds and ends, and we are enjoying our month of hodge podge activities, get-togethers with friends, and playing with many new toys.  Luke and Leah are having fun exploring their artistic, creative sides by painting, and I think that there is nothing cuter than those smocked Picassos!  After years of cars, trucks, and trains being the dominant theme in our house, the tides are slowly shifting as we're acquiring our first pink, princess-themed toys:

 

 

Even our tough guy (dressed in his construction vehicle jammies) shows his softer side when playing with his little sister's princess castle:

 

 

And I got a kick out of Mark's first introduction into "Some Assembly Required" with these little girl toys:

 

There's also been lots of imaginative play at our house as the kids blast off in their new giant rocket ship.  Their space-dog, Winnie, likes to pretend she's an astronaut, too!: 

 And finally, for your viewing pleasure, here are a few recent videos of our little singers.  The first song may bring back some memories of Vacation Bible School days, and it makes my heart sing to listen to the joyful noise that these two kiddos create together:
