Puddle Stompers

"Rain, Rain, Go Away!
Come Again Another Day!
Luke and Leah want to Play!"

It rained here this weekend.  And rained.  And rained some more.
We tried to keep busy.  I pulled out toys from closets that we haven't seen in months.  We went to Chuck E. Cheese, made a Costco run, and went out to lunch.  But there's only so much you can do with active little guys when being outside for even 10 seconds causes you to be soaked to the bone.  So when the kids asked to play in the rain and stomp in puddles yesterday afternoon, we said, "Sure, why not?!"

Mark and I watched from the sanctuary of our dry garage while our two little puddle stompers had a ball.  At one point, Luke told Leah, "Open your mouth, Peanut," and tried to make a big enough splash that water went into his little sister's mouth.  Awesome, huh?  At least they weren't eating worms!   Enjoy these pictures of our rainy day at home:

Love this post! Monica, JT and Nicholas would agree. Playing in the rain was a highlight of their younger years. It was one of their favorite activities.

Go Luke and Leah...Enjoy the outside showers!
