Luke's second season of t-ball started last month, and this year, our team is the Cleveland Indians. Once again, t-ball is adorable. It's exactly what a child's introduction to sports should be. The focus is on fun, there is a wide range of skill levels and attention spans, and the post-game snacks are the real stars of the show for many of the players. Many patient dads and coaches volunteer to teach the kiddos the basics of the game, and the parent to child ratio on the field is almost 1:1. Here are some snapshots from our t-ball season so far:

The kids rotate positions each game so that everyone has a chance to be in on the action. The most coveted position is "pitcher", which is where most balls are hit. Each child also gets to hit a "homerun" when they are the last one up at bat for the inning, and then run all the way around the bases. This almost always ends in a dramatic slide into home plate to see how dirty the uniforms can possibly become.

These are awesome. Remember that the Indians were Grammy's favorite team. She would have loved seeing Luke in that uniform.

What memories this post brings back of Mark and Bubs in Little League! Looks like Luke is having a great experience AND Mark is having fun, too! And have Leah part of the "team" is such fun, too! Love, Gammie Davies
